Rust converting agent
Phosphoric acid can be used as a component of rust converting agent. Phosphoric acid is able to convert reddish-brown Fe2O3 to the black FePO4. After it is removed, the new metal surface will be exposed. It may also not be removed temporarily to serve as the protective layer of the metal surface to avoid further oxidation.
  • It can serve as an electrolyte for copper electroplate polishing
  • In the semiconductor manufacturing process, phosphoric acid can be used as an etching solvent
  • When silicon nitride is etched, phosphoric acid is able to convert Si3N4 to SiO2
