Olefin copolymer (OCP) is used as the major additive for the preparations of engine oil, hydraulic oil and gear oil and for viscosity index improvers, able to afford the multi-grade oil with favorable starting performance at low temperature and appropriate viscosity maintained at high temperature to improve the performance of lubricating oil and extend the service life of lubricating oil.
